Dejected by a racing season that came to an abrupt end due to the pandemic induced lockdowns in 2020, Kieren Dsouza decides to pursue a long standing dream of making speed ascents on Himalayan peaks. The first one on his list is Mt. Friendship; an iconic summit standing tall at 5289M over the mountain town of Manali. Imagine is the story of this FKT record attempt that will break ground for this novel sporting culture in India.

This is the story of two climbers vying to make the first ascent of one of the hardest 'Boulder Problem' in India. The story spans through seasons where progress is measured in inches over repeated attempts.
This is the story of two climbers vying to make the first ascent of one of the hardest 'Boulder Problem' in India. The story spans through seasons where progress is measured in inches over repeated attempts.
Samsara Is Nirvana
In 2007 a multinational group of climbers - Giovanni Quirici, Guy Scherrer, Phillip Chabloz, Claude Chardonners and Elie Chevieux established a first ascent of Samsara is Nirvana. A 750 metre tall limestone wall, at over 4000m elevation in the remote Kharnak gorges of Ladakh. For a decade since then multiple teams have tried and failed at ascending the wall. One of India's leading sport climbers Kumar Gaurav made an attempt, and fell from one of the top pitches. Narrowly missing death and destroying his wrist in the bargain. After a complex rescue, the doctor's pronounced that Kumar's career may come to an absolute halt. One can only guess how a wrist is critical to climbing in the vertical terrain. Kumar however soldiered on. After a year of recuperation, Kumar returns to the base confident and with an equally psyched partner in Madhu CR. And the rest is history.
